The Center for Genome Sciences (CCG, http://www.ccg.unam.mx) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM, located in Cuernavaca, Morelos) is seeking outstanding candidates for three tenure-track faculty positions at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience of at least two years.
Successful applicants must have an excellent scientific track record in at least one of the following areas (Comparative Genomics, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, Synthetic Biology).
Responsibilities will include the development and maintenance of original, collaborative, and externally funded research as well as the teaching of undergraduate and graduate students.

- A cover letter that includes research interests and experience, as well as a list of the most relevant papers
- Curriculum vitae
- Electronic files of all published papers
- Three reference letters
- A research project that could be carried out in the CCG (in no more than 10 pages)

Applications will be received until March 1st, 2019. By March 16, 2019, candidates for these positions will be invited to visit the CCG to give a seminar and to have an interview with the academic staff and authorities of the Center. Both, seminars and interviews will occur in May 2019. In case of equally qualified candidates, candidates not older than 36 (men) or 39 years (women) will be preferred.
The successful candidates will be notified by June 6, 2019.
Positions should be occupied starting August 2019, but no later than the end of December, 2019.
